Juan Soto shocked the baseball world this offseason when he left the New York Yankees after one season to sign a record-breaking contract with the New York Mets for 15 years and $765 million.
Since signing the deal, Soto has made headlines with his subtle jabs at his former team, and one recent video depicting his most recent is going viral.
A video originally shared on TikTok showed Soto enjoying a night out with his friends at a club in the Dominican Republic, and when the song “Soto Shuffle” by El Alfa and Foreign Teck came on, Soto went quiet when the “Yankees” part of the track came on and yelled out a correction, saying “Los Mets!”

Perhaps an updated version of the song will be released because it is already outdated.
Soto ruffled some feathers when he said during his introductory press conference that New York has always been a Mets town, and fans also raised an eyebrow when Soto revealed he hadn’t talked to any of his former Yankees teammates since the season ended.
It is still somewhat surreal that Soto has moved across town to join the Mets, as things like this never happen to the Yankees.
Fans have grown accustomed to the Yankees getting whoever they want as long as they throw their money and their weight around, but this time, they were outmatched by their crosstown rivals and will now have to deal with Soto playing in the same city for the next 15 years.
His one year with the Yankees was incredible, as he helped the team reach the World Series, but that part of his career is over.
