On April 18, the world premiere of “The Sinners,” the latest film by Ryan Coogler, known for “Black Panther” and “Creed,” took place. Unfortunately, the film did not make it to Russia following Warner Bros.’ exit from the market.
However, major Russian cinema chains have already announced the release date for the film. This horror movie will arrive in the country on **April 26**—just eight days after its global release. Viewers will be able to enjoy the film in a Russian dubbed version tailored for the CIS countries.
It’s important to note that the film will be screened until April 30 inclusive, after which Russian cinema networks will take a break from Hollywood releases. According to media reports, this hiatus is expected to last until around May 12, after which international films will reappear in local theaters.
“The Sinners” tells the story of two brothers who, in 1932, decide to return to their hometown, where they open a music bar for the plantation workers. Suddenly, they discover that a dangerous Irish vampire resides nearby, leading them into a confrontation with this supernatural being. The lead roles in the film are played by Michael B. Jordan (“Creed”), Hailee Steinfeld (“Hawkeye”), and Jack O’Connell (“Unbroken”).
