The President of the Russian Premier League, **Alexander Alaev**, announced that external management has been implemented at the Moscow region club “Khimki” following a situation where players boycotted training due to salary arrears. Today, April 18, the players have returned to training.
“One of the issues I’ve encountered firsthand is the inconsistency in numbers and information. There are documents, and I have reports. My information differed from that of the players. Now that external management has been established, I will obtain the documents on Monday, and we will address the situation moving forward. The players provided one set of data, while the club offered another. This discrepancy surprised me.
I still have not seen the documents. It’s possible that some information is partially withheld. At the moment, we are reviewing the payroll and accounting documents,” Alaev stated, as reported by Match TV.
“Khimki” is currently in 12th place in the Russian championship standings, having accumulated 23 points from 24 matches.
