According to Defensa Central, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has expressed admiration for Brazilian wonderkid Endrick — a player currently on Real Madrid’s books — to club president Joan Laporta.
Flick reportedly views Endrick as a player of immense potential and someone he would love to have under his guidance at Barcelona.
His energy, strength, and commitment to the team have certainly caught Flick’s attention, especially as a possible long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
However, while this has made headlines, it is important to understand the broader picture that Barcelona are no longer in the business of dreaming about players they once missed out on.
The Catalan club did indeed make an attempt to sign Endrick before his Real Madrid deal, as admitted by president Joan Laporta, but the youngster had already made up his mind to join Madrid.
Any move is unlikely
In reality, the fact that Flick appreciates Endrick is nothing more than a sign of good scouting instincts. Endrick has done reasonably well this season, scoring seven goals in limited appearances.

But his path at Madrid has been far from easy. He remains in the shadow of Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and now Kylian Mbappe — a trio that dominates Carlo Ancelotti’s forward line.
