The above photo of bride and groom Jim and Elsie ( the Brown’s ) is from a family photograph box.
It was taken on the steps outside the Register Office building after their wedding.
The newly weds were from the central London area , very likely the Elephant and Castle .
The pair and the best man are nicely dressed. The best man is shows a distinct military bearing .
His hat has been confetti filled to cast upon the happy pair.

Note the sign behind the couple is of the Housing Act 1936 which could
be Important information for newly wedded persons and the wider general public.
