The Toronto Blue Jays missed the postseason for the first time in the last three seasons after finishing with a record of 74-88 and coming in last place in the American League East.
After a tough season, the Blue Jays came into the offseason with high hopes of adding some big names to their roster, but things did not go as planned.
The Blue Jays were reportedly pursuing multiple free agents, including Juan Soto, Corbin Burnes, and Roki Sasaki, but they ultimately missed out on them.
While the Blue Jays missed out on multiple players, they didn’t give up.
They just signed outfielder Anthony Santander from the Baltimore Orioles.
MLB Analyst A.J. Ramos revealed what Santander will bring to the Blue Jays team in 2025.
“Talk about his bat and what he brings to accommodate and help out Vladdy,” Ramos said via MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM.

Ramos mentions that Santander will be a good addition to help out Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the Blue Jays lineup, as Guerrero was responsible for most of the offensive production in 2024.
Ramos also points out that Santander should be a good addition to the clubhouse and should not cause drama for the team.
Santander has played eight MLB seasons in his career, and they all came with the Orioles.
In 2024, Santander played in 155 games, where he batted .235 with 44 home runs, 102 RBIs, and a .814 OPS.
The Blue Jays will need as much talent as possible to compete with the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox in the AL East.
