Stephanie Vaquer defeated Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice, and Cora Jade at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil to become the new number-one contender to Fallon Henley’s NXT Women’s North American Title.

Later in the night, Shotzi pinned Fallon Henley in a tag team match.
After a backstage altercation between Vaquer, Henley, and Shotzi, it was determined that Vaquer would face Henley on Tuesday, January 14, and the winner would get a championship opportunity.
