Lisa Rinna: Fashion Influenced by Her Daughters
At the recent WWD Style Awards held in Los Angeles on January 3, 61-year-old reality TV personality Lisa Rinna revealed that her greatest fashion inspirations are her own daughters.
Rinna spoke to PEOPLE about the impact Delilah Belle Hamlin, aged 26, and Amelia Gray Hamlin, aged 23, have had on her style choices. “Their fashion sense is truly remarkable,” she remarked. “Just look at them! I pay attention to everything they wear.”
During the event that celebrated talents such as Tracee Ellis Ross while bringing together designers and beauty professionals alike, Rinna reminisced about a recent fitting alongside her daughters. “I showed up wearing baggy jeans, a simple tank top paired with a bomber jacket and Mary Janes with socks,” she recalled. “Upon entering, they exclaimed that I looked just like Amelia. I took that as an incredible compliment!”
Family Ties and Shared Passions
Lisa Rinna shares her two daughters with husband Harry Hamlin; Delilah was born in 1998 shortly after their wedding followed by Amelia in 2001.
After completing high school education, both sisters relocated to New York City for further studies while pursuing careers in modeling concurrently. Delilah made an impressive entry into the fashion world during New York Fashion Week in 2016, paving the way for Amelia who debuted on the same prestigious platform a year later.
In February of this year at Copenhagen Fashion Week, both mother and daughter made headlines when they shared the runway occasion—Rinna walked for Rotate while Amelia enjoyed watching from backstage.
“It’s been an amazing experience embarking on this fashion journey together,” stated Amelia to PEOPLE. “I never anticipated that my aspirations would align so closely with my mother’s passion—it’s truly special.” She also added how grateful she feels having such an inspiring role model as a parent: “She is instrumental in shaping who I am today.”
Nostalgic Inspirations Through Style
Amelia has shown admiration for her mother’s vintage wardrobe too; notably wearing one of Lisa’s cherished Alaïa dresses from the ’90s during various outings—and even donned Lisa’s wedding gown during a Paper magazine photoshoot back in 2021.
“My mom preserves countless beautiful dresses from over time,” remarked Amelia about revisiting those cherished pieces which sparked creativity within her artistic vision when styling photoshoots: “Reflecting on what would resonate with my mom emotionally guided me completely away from worrying about others’ opinions.”
Collaborative Ventures Highlight Bonding Moments
Beyond inspirational moments through wardrobes lies business ventures—the proud mother-daughter duo collaborated professionally as well! In 2022 Delilah partnered with Lisa launching a delightful nude lip kit under Rinna Beauty.
Delilah expressed excitement regarding their creative collaboration saying it brought forth fun experiences as they engaged together during promotional shoots featuring products crafted by their teamwork: “Working side-by-side was incredibly enjoyable; my mother brings such vibrant energy.”
