Apple Fitness+ recently unveiled its annual enhancement lineup, showcasing an exciting partnership with Strava and expanding its offerings to include strength training, yoga classes, pickleball sessions, and breath-focused meditation experiences.
In January 2023, the platform debuted kickboxing sessions amid ongoing feedback regarding its workout variety. For January 2024, more diverse workout options and meditative practices were introduced.
Starting from January 6, 2025, Apple Fitness+ is launching what it describes as its most extensive range of programming yet—offering users innovative ways to engage in both physical exercise and mindfulness activities. This lineup features a progressive strength training initiative and a specialized conditioning program that integrates pickleball sessions along with appearances from notable figures in the Artist Spotlight series as well as Time to Walk features.
“Fitness+ is crafted to cater to everyone’s distinct fitness journey,” remarked Jay Blahnik, Apple’s Vice President of Fitness Technologies. He added that it offers motivating workouts and meditation guides encouraging users to stay active while fostering mindfulness.
“With tailored workouts aimed at enhancing power for pickleball players alongside breathing exercises designed for stress relief—coupled with our exhilarating Artist Spotlight segments featuring popular tracks—and an important collaboration with Strava,” Blahnik noted further. “Fitness+ aims to provide inspiration and motivation for all so they can feel their absolute best in 2025.”
The newly established relationship with Strava allows this fitness app access to data from Apple Fitness+, encompassing session analytics among other details. Additionally, athletes affiliated with Strava will take turns leading certain workouts throughout the year.
For those already subscribed to Strava’s services, there’s an offer of up to three complimentary months on Apple’s subscription service.
Noteworthy offerings among these updated sessions include a dynamic dance workout led by choreographer Alex Wong lasting 20 minutes. Beginning January 13th — Adam Scott will initiate another segment under Time to Walk.
Apple’s subscription-based service for fitness enthusiasts is available at $9.99 monthly or $79.99 annually also incorporated into the Premier level of Apple’s One subscription package.
