Mohammed Shami is not going to the inducted into the Indian cricket squad for the remaining two Exams of the Border Gavaskar trophy, the BCCI confirmed on Monday. In a press launch, the BCCI revealed that Shami has recovered fully from his heel downside. Nonetheless, his left knee confirmed swelling after he performed within the Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. Therefore, the BCCI concluded that his ‘knee requires extra time for managed publicity to bowling masses’ and thus is not going to be picked for the final two Exams of the Border Gavaskar Trophy, which is at present tied at 1-1 after the primary three Exams.

“However, his left knee has exhibited minor swelling due to increased joint loading from his bowling workload. The swelling is on the expected lines, owing to the increased bowling after a prolonged period,” the BCCI launch acknowledged.
“Based on the current medical assessment, the BCCI Medical Team has determined that his knee requires more time for controlled exposure to bowling loads. Consequently, he has not been deemed fit for consideration for the remaining two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
“Shami will proceed to bear focused energy and conditioning work below the steering of the medical workers at BCCI’s Centre of Excellence and construct his bowling masses wanted to fulfill the calls for of the longest format of the sport. His participation within the Vijay Hazare Trophy will rely on the progress of his knee.”
