The Boston Red Sox have nine World Series titles in their history, with four coming since 2004.
Despite a historic organization used to playing winning baseball, the Red Sox have struggled recently as they have missed the postseason the past three seasons.
Last season, they finished third in the American League East with a record of 81-81.
The Red Sox need to make some moves this offseason if they want to keep up with the New York Yankees, who just went to the World Series in 2024.
After reportedly signing reliever Aroldis Chapman, MLB analyst Ryan Spilborghs revealed another free-agent pitcher who should interest Boston.
“Walker Buehler, for me, is the obvious answer for the Red Sox,” Spilborghs said, via MLB Network on SiriusXM.

Buehler was a highly regarded prospect when he debuted in 2017 with the Los Angeles Dodgers and has played seven seasons for them.
After a good few years to start his career, Buehler struggled in 2024. In 16 starts, he posted a record of 1-6 with a 5.38 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 75.1 innings pitched.
Buehler performed better in the postseason for the Dodgers in their World Series run, appearing in four games and posting a record of 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 15.0 innings pitched.
Spilborghs said he believes Buehler still has the stuff to be successful and that the Red Sox should sign him to a one-year deal.
The Red Sox have a lot of free agents to sort through, but Buehler could make the most sense heading into 2025.
